The State of Preschool in Georgia

The Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children (GAEYC) is our state’s affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Southern Early Childhood Association. Our thoughts about this report are as follows:
Early childhood education is everyone’s business. Having access to affordable high quality early education is a public good like water and power.High quality early education is not only an education benefit, but it benefits the local economy too. More people can focus on their employment when they know their children are in affordable high quality care. Their income, as well as the income of those providing quality care also flow back into the communities. It’s a win for the children, but really it is for all of us.
