GAYC is Restructuring
Due to a change in the landscape of the early care and education field as well as a shift in funding streams, Georgia Association on Young Children (GAYC) has decided to take this time to restructure and renew our organization. While we will not maintain a central office and we are reducing the staff, we are still committed to continuing our very important mission and vision. GAYC continues to be committed to helping programs offer quality early childhood education, providing high quality professional development options to early childhood professionals, participating in networking and advocacy opportunities, and having a high performing inclusive organization. We have a robust Board of Directors and active committees who are willing to take on many of the tasks previously performed by staff so that our services are not disrupted and GAYC can still support the early childhood professionals in the state of Georgia.
We would like to take this opportunity to recognize the tireless work of our Executive Director, Christina Parker and our Business Manager, Carol Petty. With the assistance of Linda Travers, Kerry Liebling, and Diana Curra, they were able to do great work and make a positive contribution to our field.
Diana Curra will remain our Professional Development and Membership Specialist and will handle GAYC professional development and member services; she can be contacted at email@example.com .
